Default Origin of the mesmer

Do y'all know where the term "mesmer" came from?

In the late 1700s a Viennese psychologist, named Antoine Mesmer, invented hypnosis. He called the treatment "mesmerizing."

So, technically, a mesmer is a hypnotist.

I'm pretty sure I heard it years ago, but I completely forgot until I heard it recently again.

Oh well. I guess I'm the only one with the epiphany.

My next post will be about a cool obscure film called, Star Wars.
